You Should Be Excited for the Upcoming iPad Pro 2021!

One of the most impressive devices from Apple is the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro has evolved a lot over the years. From being called a tablet on steroids, the iPad Pro has evolved into a machine that can replace traditional computers for most people.

In 2020, the iPad Pro got a blazing fast A12Z chip with a whopping 8-core CPU and GPU. It also gained a new dual-camera setup with an ultra-wide camera. In bonus came the LiDAR scanner for augmented reality. The Magic Keyboard, equipped with a keyboard better than most notebooks made the iPad Pro a great laptop replacement.

The sheer brilliance of the iPad Pro 2020 made everyone feel that the iPad Pro 2021 innovation may now come to a saturation. But believe us, Apple has some bigger plans for the iPad Pro.

According to the reports, a whole-new 12.9″ iPad Pro 2021 is around the corner (soon to be followed by the 11” iPad Pro). We have a ton of information on how Apple is planning to upgrade this beast of a machine in 2021. So without any further ado, let’s dive into the details about the new iPad Pro 2021.

Design

According to the renders by 91Mobiles, the iPad Pro 2021 will not undergo a significant design change. The only expected revisions in the design are thinner bezels.

Another source suggests that the lens glass may get flushed with the camera bump, and the speaker holes may get reduced to 2/3rd in number (while maintaining all four speaker grills). Also, the 12.9″ iPad Pro 2021 may become 0.5mm thicker than its predecessor.

New Display Tech

iPad Pro 2021: A14X

The upcoming iPad Pro will reportedly introduce a new display tech, called the Mini LED. The benefits of waiting for a new Mini-LED display are better colour production, higher contrast ratios, HDR and local dimming. Mini LED technology should also help with battery performance due to better power efficiency.

Many reports suggest that the 11″ model of the iPad Pro will likely miss the Mini LED tech. Some reports also suggest that Apple is working on the transition to OLED as well, and a newer iPad Pro with OLED may appear in 2022. But in our opinion Mini LED is the final step from Apple for the iPad Pro, at least for now.

Even More Powerful

The 9to5Mac team spotted references to a never-before-seen chip concealed within the code of the iOS 14.5 beta. The chip will probably be termed A14X with 5G capabilities, which suggests that the new chip will be the best chip yet in the iPad Pro.

A report from Bloomberg claims that the new A14X chip in terms of power will be on par with the M1 chip.

The iPad Pro 2021 may also rock a thunderbolt port, which will take the transfer speed on par with the new MacBooks.

The rumours suggest that the iPad Pro 2021 will rock the same dual-lens setup with a LiDAR scanner. Any other changes seem unlikely this year.

New Magic Keyboard

iPad Pro 2021: Magic Keyboard

Apple has filed patents for the new Magic Keyboard. It suggests healthy possibilities that the new Magic Keyboard will get launched for the iPad Pro 2021.

One such patent shows touch-sensitive strips in place of the trackpad, along with microphone and vibration sensors. Looking at such ambitious patents, we can sense that Apple is up for something interesting.

Apple Pencil Third-Generation

The third-generation Apple Pencil may debut with the new iPad Pro in 2021. A leaked image from a reputed source shows that the third-gen Apple Pencil will look much similar to the second-gen Apple Pencil, but it will come in a glossy finish and a different tip design.

According to the leaks, it will offer even less latency. Apple has also patented a color sensing technology for third-gen Apple Pencil that would sample the colors from the environment, but there is no word yet whether this feature will make it to the final product.

We’ll have to wait until the latest iPad Pro 2021 is released to learn how much all of this technology will cost. The event could happen in April.

Please stay tuned as we’ll update you with the latest information.
